Is Fast X good or bad? ›

Fast X has many inconsistencies. It has plenty of mediocre performances and egregious attempts at fan service, too. But it doesn't matter. No one who pays money to see the TENTH installment in The Fast and the Furious watches the film for these reasons.

An 11th installment to the Fast & Furious film series, which will be called Fast X: Part 2, is slated for a summer 2026 release, a year late after it was initially announced to come out in April 2025 because of delays.

Dwayne Johnson's return as Hobbs in Fast X confirms that he cannot be replaced and is an integral part of the Fast and Furious franchise. Jakob Toretto was intended to be Hobbs' replacement, but killing off Jakob and bringing back Hobbs in the same movie demonstrates that the replacement did not work.

While this movie is close to being an MCU movie, it is drastically better than the horrific previous movie, which made me rethink what a movie is. Fast X is pretty good for the most part, if you can switch off your brain and not take anything you see seriously at all.

The movie doesn't explicitly explain how this Fast & Furious character survived, but possible explanations include Mr. Nobody helping them fake their death or advanced technology healing their injuries.

The good news is that a Paul Walker Fast X return happened with Brian, but there was no CGI needed and nothing harmed the final story of Brian retiring to keep his family safe.

As a result, the film needs to include John Cena, but his character's fate in Fast X indicates that the star is unlikely to feature in Fast & Furious 11. John Cena first appeared as F9's antagonist, Jakob Toretto, but wound up joining Dom's crew at the end of the film and assisting them in Fast X.

Fast & Furious 12 is the twelfth and final film in the Fast & Furious franchise. Set to be the third part of a trilogy beginning with Fast X, the film will test the limits of the Fast Family as they head out on one last ride.

John Cena as Jakob Toretto: Dom and Mia's brother and a master thief, assassin, and high-performance driver who once worked as an agent for Mr. Nobody. He has since reformed into a kinder person, sharing a loving relationship with his nephew, Little Brian.

Han was then retconned to have died in Tokyo Drift's conclusion at the hands of Shaw's vengeful brother Deckard (Jason Statham). However, F9 reveals that Han never died during that race. Instead, he faked his death with the help of Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell).

Fast 11 is confirmed to be in development with a release date reportedly set for April 4, 2025, though potential delays because of the strikes could change that timeline.

The late star's brothers, Cody Walker and Caleb Walker, filled in for him in some Furious 7 scenes, but they did not return for Fast X. There's still a family connection, however — Paul's daughter, Meadow Walker, has a cameo in the movie as a flight attendant who waits on Jakob (John Cena).

Many zoomed in camera body shots on females wearing very revealing clothing and when dancing together erotically. A couple lay on top of each other for a short extended sequence. There is an intimate scene between two characters in bed after 14 minutes that lasts about 1 minute 30 seconds.

Fast X was not as good as its villain

Jason Momoa's Dante Reyes was an incredible villain, but Fast X did not live up to the character. While it may seem paradoxical that a flawed movie delivered a great villain, there are plenty of films in which the antagonist stole the show despite the movie's issues.
