The fee for jury service is $40 per day. Jurors who receive their salary during their entire jury service will not be paid by the state. The employer of a juror, who employees more than 10 people, must pay at least $40 per day for the first three days of jury service.

In New York, employers of more than 10 employees must pay jurors the jury fee of $40 or the employee's wage (whichever is lower) each day for the first three days of jury service. If the juror's daily wage is less than the jury fee, then the state makes up the difference.
